“I met Rosa in 2017 when she agreed to undertake the editing of what would become the most massive book that the Seminole Wars Foundation had ever attempted to publish. There would eventually be seven authors whose work she would have to organize, despite differences in writing styles. Already well-experienced in writing, editing, and publishing herself, Rosa performed the additional work of proofreading and checking for redundancies. She made quarterly reports on the growing tome, This Land, These Men, and finally shepherded its publication in 2026. Along the way, she became president of the Foundation in 2023. Rosa is one-of-a-kind, unafraid of roadblocks and other difficulties and meeting them head-on in order to complete the job.”

“I am a writer and producer of TV shows and movies. I have worked with Rosa for the last fifteen years. She has edited all of my books and screenplays. I find her to be a brilliant writer and editor. She is very creative, witty, and well-spoken, and she’s the best editor I have worked with in my entire career. I highly recommend Rosa Sophia Godshall for all your writing and editorial needs.”

“I have participated in living history events for over fifty years. Around 2015, I gathered research to write a guidebook for re-enactors, historians, and teachers. I presented it to my friend and mentor, Rosa, at the Dade Battlefield Park while attending the annual reenactment there in 2022. With her encouragement and guidance, I began assembling my research into book-form. She did all the groundwork of organizing, editing, and placing the book on Amazon. We have just released a second edition of Seminole War-Era Clothing: Seminole, U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, and Civilian. Thank you, Rosa.”

“Rosa is a spectacular editor. I’ve written three books, and articles for the Harvard Business Review and other professional publications. Over the course of my career, I’ve worked with some excellent editors, but Rosa is unique. Her recommendations have improved both the grammar and flow of my writing. She is a writing coach who is sincerely interested in understanding your work, and she is on your team.”
